Electrical Planning Report was prepared to meet mandatory assessment to satisfy the latest amendment to the BC Strata Property Act. Scope included detailed building assessment of building electrical infrastructure, coordination with utility for building loading, as well as analysis on conversion of existing gas equipment to electric.
EV Ready Plan outlined the optimal implementation of EV infrastructure at the building parkade to suit the residents charging requirements. Analysis included detailed site visit to review the electrical infrastructure, parking configuration and optimal charging and infrastructure implementation to each resident owner stall.

Electrical design and load calculation of electrical infrastructure system to make 200+ resident’s parking stalls EV ready spanning multiple parkade levels, across two (2) buildings. EV system design included review of building’s electrical demand, load sharing/management capabilities, electrical distribution system modification, and junction box and outlet location layouts.

3 Warehouses Vancouver Airport Property
WAREHOUSE FIRE ALARM UPGRADE

Collaboration: Vancouver Airport Property Management, Vancouver Airport Authority Permits
Three (3) mixed use multi-storey warehouses totaling ~100,000 sqft required a new fire alarm system for added protection for the building and its occupants. New fire alarm system was designed according to CAN/ULC-S524 standards to provide heat and smoke detection along with new visual and audible alarm throughout each facility. Each fire alarm system was designed to be centrally monitored and connecting existing automatic sprinkler system for alarm.

Colwood City Hall
EV INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN

Electrical design was provided to add 5 EV chargers in the outdoor parking lot. Motus provided design, load calculation, and coordination with Utility to connect to existing utility transformer. A new outdoor enclosure for an EV distribution system was designed. Review of the existing load, load calculation and site plan were designed for utility approval.

ELECTRICAL LOAD STUDY

Client required an electrical load study and a capacity analysis to determine implementation options for future electrification and fuel switching upgrades options at a multi-unit residential building. Motus provided a detailed analysis, schematic design drawings, and recommendations report based on site findings and coordination with utility for future implementation considerations.

Client required a detailed building condition assessment of two (2) municipal owned buildings. Facilitated by Entuitive, Motus provided an electrical condition assessment and in collaboration with Enovus, mechanical condition assessment of the facilities. Scope included detailed site assessments, analysis of existing equipment conditions and provided recommendations for capital measures of upgrades including budget costing.

MONOVA & Myrtle Park - North Vancouver

Motus Engineering provided a comprehensive review of the existing fire alarm system at MONOVA & Myrtle Park facilities. Project scope included review of existing documentation, annual testing report, on-site observations, and a condition assessment report. The report highlighted the building’s fire alarm system functionality and capabilities, score of existing equipment condition, estimated remaining life-span of the equipment, recommended actions to maintain the system, and cost estimates.
